This book is marvelous biography and primer on the theology of Karl Rahner. Reads like an apologetic and accessible handbook for the once-controversial writings of Rahner, reconciling it to Scriptures and writings of the Church Fathers, before completing its connection to the Second Vatican Council, of which the subject became an advisor.

Recommended by James Schall in Another Sort of Learning, Intro to Part Three, as one of Schall's Unlikely List of Books to Keep Sane By---Selected for Those to Whom Making Sense Is a Prior Consideration, but a Minority Opinion: To Which It Might Be Aded, with No Guarantee of Further Sanity.
