Review # 1 was written on 2012-01-16 00:00:00 Stephen Palozsa -The Sanctuary by Ann E Eskridge -Little Man is a 10 year old boy that is curious about any and everything. He desperately wants to fit in and be apart of this gang that his friends are apart of. He is up to do whatever it takes in order for him to be excepted into this gang, and will stop at nothing until he is accepted. -Lucy Johnson is known as the crazy women who lives down the street. No one really knows anything about her, but call her crazy because of the altar she has in her backyard. She doesn't talk to anyone in town, until she starts to befriend Little Man, who starts to look at her differently than he did before. A conflict occurs when Little Man is faced with the challenge of his initiation. He must steal something valuable from -Lucy Johnson's sanctuary. While in the process of stealing this item, Lucy runs into him and as they get to know one another, Little Man realizes that all of the harsh rumors made about her are untrue. -I enjoy this book because it has a great storyline, along with dynamic characters with interesting backgrounds. I recommend this book to anyone that likes to read about fictional characters with interesting backgrounds.
