Review # 1 was written on 2014-11-10 00:00:00 Miguel Firpi I learned a lot from this book. I was disappointed that it did not talk much about the relationship with the indigenous people in our country, since I feel this is often skimmed in other history texts. Overall very interesting though.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-08-03 00:00:00 Carlos Jenobebo This is the very first book of Hungarian history written by a Hungarian scholar. Compare with another one (The Will to Survive. A History of Hungary by Bryan Cartledge), I like Hoensch's dry narrative.
