Review # 1 was written on 2018-05-18 00:00:00 Carl Zurline This is a moderately entertaining set. It won't replace your collection of Christie or Hammett novels, but you'll find some of the best mystery and suspense plays (many of which later became movies). Here's what I've read so far: Night Must Fall *** - Excellent title, I love it. But the play is a bit forced. I didn't buy into Olivia's infatuation with Dan, and without that the play doesn't really work. However, Dan, Dora, Mrs. Terence, and Mrs. Bramson are all finely drawn. There's more suspense than mystery. But living with Charles Manson would be more suspenseful than mysterious. Hostile Witness *** - This is a moderately entertaining courtroom drama, not much different than you'd expect see in the dozens of courtroom tv shows that have been spawned since this play rode the boards. |
- No... - Fa parte della famiglia, allora? - Proprio no.... |
