Review # 1 was written on 2008-05-28 00:00:00 Alexander Platt This book is okay....but Cole's later book, "The Invention Of Influence", is his masterpiece and one of the best poetry books I've ever read: not just amazing, but astounding and as near perfect as a book of poems can get.

Review # 2 was written on 2015-05-25 00:00:00 Hans Olav Haugen 3 1/2 Stars. While there weren't a lot of standout pieces in this anthology for me, I appreciated the cumulative effect of the poems. Together they created a satisfyingly broad reflection on womanhood and a thought-provoking portrait of growing up in the Baby Boom Generation.
