Review # 1 was written on 2010-07-06 00:00:00 Ryan Vintin This didn't impress me as much as the last one that I read from this series (Animal Communication), but that can probably be put down to it being much more of a collection of the nitty gritty details of what you might expect from the name, and much less of a collection of different perspectives and ways of approaching a broad theme. Still, if I sit back and let it all percolate through into my brain, I'm sure there'll be a large number of things I've learned from the chapters in here about how frogs hear things. Which is definitely handy, given that it's kind of important for what I do every day. (My life reeks of purpose, I know..). If frog communication is not what you do every day, then there's very little point in reading this book (although parts of it might help if you study other animals' communication). But then, if frog communication is not, in fact, what you do with your life, then you won't even be looking at this title, most likely, so whatever. |
