Review # 1 was written on 2009-07-04 00:00:00 Steven Cybulski I loved how the author educated the reader while telling a story--educated about magick and ritual, about healing, about plants and herbs, and even about Spanish! I really enjoyed this book and I'm glad I saw it on the cart at the library and decided to bring it home. :) I'm looking forward to more books (young adult, not just the ones she's already written about Wicca and such) by this author. |
Review # 2 was written on 2009-05-14 00:00:00 Gabrielle Beauvais Longpr The barrio, fancy schmancy L.A., Mexican-Americans, and a little magic. That's what brings together Marina, Xochitl (pronounced So-chee), and Fern. Not to mention Rogelia, Tristan and Graciela. Wonderful story of a new found friendship that helps the girls find strength in themselves as individuals! |
