Review # 2 was written on 2020-05-04 00:00:00 Luis R Ramos An excellent book with all of Balchin's usual preoccupations, infidelity, talented professionals being interfered with by bureaucrats and of course bottom slapping. over all though the focus was out a little on this one and the characters where never particularly interesting. All very fine ideas but without his usual smart, funny/tortured and interesting protagonist.
