Introduction by Bill Pronzini: Excellent rationale for the compilation expressing truths I personally observed. The Biography Project by HL Gold: Funny joke to get started. A Man of My Wounding by Poul Anderson: Futuristic espionage, sorta... The Winner by Donald E Westlake: Cautionary shortie. Booth 13 by John Lutz: Not so impressed with this, by an otherwise notable crime author The Wolfram Hunters by Edward D Hoch: Skilful merging of sf and crime aspects. To See the Invisible Man by Robert Silverberg: Very much a classic by a master (but I keep singing "To hear the unhearable foe..." when I see this title :-) The Man Who Collected The Shadow by Bill Pronzini: My favorite crime writer and my favorite pulp, so guaranteed a good re-read. Fun and tidy. Bernie the Faust by William Tenn: Opening draws you in and you're kept guessing. Has a Sturgeon feel. The Fire Man by Elizabeth A Lynn: Vaguely unsettling. Non Sub Homine by HW Whyte: Credible premise, predictable to a point. Murder, 2090 by CB Gilford: Well-aimed dystopian slant. The Generalissimo's Butterfly by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro: No great idea here? The Several Murders of Roger Ackroyd by Barry N Malzberg: Letter-exchange style. Didn't fulfill potential. View, with a Difference by CL Grant: Perhaps the best blend of whodunit and sf in the book The Executioner by Algis Budrys: Overlong extrapolation of religion-influenced justice. Afterword by Barry N Malzberg: Of minor import. (to be concluded)

Weird shit here. Some good, some lame, but all weird. Also, showing its age a bit--about 25 years old.
