Review # 1 was written on 2017-05-21 00:00:00 Federico Blanco It is interesting, but dry, and can use too many examples for demonstrating the point. Also dated. |
Review # 2 was written on 2007-04-08 00:00:00 Chad Terrell An important work in the launch of constructivism in international relations, a school of thought which breathed life and reality into the field. This short, clearly written book reads a bit like a doctoral thesis, but provides powerful food for thought and a map for constructivist research. The case studies are interesting, albeit a bit thinly connected to the overall thesis. The real meat comes in the powerfully written conclusion, which provides guidance and questions for constructivists to answer. Not as deeply written as Wendt, but Finnemore has no issues getting into the details unlike him. My one complaint is that Finnemore tends to repeat herself. |
