A Mothers Touch (also published as From Here To Maternity) is an omnibus of three short stories. A Second Chance by Tara Taylor Quinn tells the story of 48 year-old business executive, Amelia Copperstone, who is shocked to find herself pregnant. When she was sixteen, she gave up a baby for adoption. Recently, that baby made contact, wanting to meet her father as well. Amelia contacted Dennis Walker on her behalf, and things just happened. Now Dennis is going to be a father again. But having a baby at forty-eight is not quite the same as having one at sixteen.. 3 stars Promoted to Mom by Karen Rose Smith sees April Renquist finding she is pregnant to her ex-fiance, just as she gets a hard-worked-for promotion. It means she needs to head to L.A., even though the babys father, restauranteur Braden Galloway, is firmly established in Oklahoma. Braden is determined to be a proper father to his son, but it seems nothing he does will convince April that Oklahoma is the place to stay. A selfish woman and a single-minded man finally see sense, but mostly you just want to give April a good shake! 2 stars On Angels Wings by Inglath Cooper sees grieving parents Clay and Rachel Foster slowly coming apart at the loss of their daughter Emma. But as a favour to her best friend, Rachel accepts one of a group of Russian orphans coming to Maryland on a summer vacation, a nine-year-old whose host arrangement fell through at the last minute. Sashas presence somehow brings two dead souls and an ailing marriage back to life. 3 stars Three sweet stories of not-so-ordinary motherhood.

I thought it was excellent. I was in a time crunch and only read one part of this book. I hope to go back and read the other two parts. I only read "On Angel's Wings" by Inglath Cooper.
