Review # 1 was written on 2010-07-06 00:00:00 Tina Nelson Aside from the narrator's poor attempt to give everyone in the book a southern accent *grinds teeth, y'all*, the stud & the skittish colt do not work for me as a couple. No doubt Brandi had experienced some type of sexual trauma (rape? beating?)in her past, which made her extremely wary of the hottie her sister had "bought" for her at a benefit auction (complete with a 5-day stay at an exclusive couples resort); however, 100 pages later (and going on day 3 of the vacation) Brandi is still holed up in her separate bedroom...quite possibly the only female left on this earth that doesn't realize Sebastian is about as perfect a hero as an author can conjure up. An audio book tends to lose its worth if it puts the listener to sleep, but the heroine's incessant internal babbling in that "'little girl lost' with a bad accent" voice, just about did me in. dnf - 1* for the format & 3*** for Sebastian = 2**
