Review # 1 was written on 2013-01-30 00:00:00 Christopher R X I tried really hard to like this book. It consists of three stories about bachelors, who happen to be friends, finding dates for Valentine's Day. They decide to each put an ad in the personals, making a date out seeing who is the most successful and they each fall in love along the way with unexpected results. Now doesn't that sound like a good premise to a book. Well, for me it just wasnt' very good. Each author has one of the bachelors that they write about. I couldn't get through the first one because that one really seemed a little bit unrealistic even for 1995. I ended scheming through it until the end just to see how Bachelor #1 story ended, then went to the second story which was a little bit better, but still not great. I did the same thing with this story as I did with the first and then went to the third story and basically it ended the same way. I am sure this may appeal to others, but it just wasn't for me. With all of the wonderfully talented romance novelists that I have had the pleasure of reading(past and present) this just didn't hold up.

Review # 2 was written on 2015-04-17 00:00:00 James Ferguson Valentine Bachelors has three stories with three different authors. The Prologue introduces three friends on New Years Eve at a bar. All three single. They make a bet to see who could win a date for Valentines Day by putting an ad in the personnel section of the newspaper. Nicholas Santiago, Tristan Talbot and Alec McCord are the three guys. You are brought into the stories as you read about how each one places the ad and follows though with the many response they get. A must read. Very good.
