Review # 1 was written on 2017-07-25 00:00:00 Barbara Richmond [Seriously, who the hell engineers a surprise dinner meeting between the wife he is trying to reconcile with and the rumored mistress who drove them apart in order to prove to his wife how she has "nothing" to worry about. He really dropped the ball BIG TIME with that pathetic showing. The OW gets no comeuppance at all and presumably will still be hanging around given that the H has business ties with her slimy family and he is never going to put her in her place. What a dumb-bell! Review # 2 was written on 2020-07-12 00:00:00 Lawrence Leppert Entertaining second chance story. Heroine was 19 when she fell pregnant after a summer romance with the hero, bff of her brother-in-law. They marry but they are only together for a few months until the heroine has a miscarriage. The hero can't handle it, so he busies himself with international travel and escorting his former "fianc�" to social events under the guise of "business." Heroine leaves him and goes to Africa as a volunteer. She hasn't seen the hero for two years when he shows up at her sister's restaurant in Greece. Hero is sarcastic and enigmatic to hide his pain. Heroine is full of self-righteous anger. Just the dynamic I'm looking for in a second chance story. Throw in a kidnapping, boat wreck and confrontation with the OW and I'm a happy camper.
