I can't pinpoint exactly why I didn't love this story. It was okay. Mediocre. On the plus side, the love scenes between the two were numerous (bordering on too many, but not quite) and steamy. The chemistry written between the two was very strong and made for some sexy reading. That being said, there was something offputting about the characters and their romance for me. Perhaps it was how selfish Marisol was. Honestly, the woman kept saying how she wanted to keep people out of her problems and her actions spoke very differently, considering she roped her best friend and her boyfriend into becoming accomplices to an art theft. Who needs friends like that? And she seems more interested in doing the "easy" thing rather than the "right" thing. She's also completely unwilling to share her problems with the hero, but not willing to give up the sex. And Ian was less in love with her than he was obsessed. These characters were in lust, not love. They spent most of the story shagging like nympho-bunnies and dealing with infatuation, but when it came down to it, neither of them really trusted the other and it just didn't feel like a healthy, solid relationship. And maybe I missed something, but what was the purpose of the prologue?
