Review # 1 was written on 2014-09-03 00:00:00 Brandi Buchman This is one of my favorite Harlequin Blaze stories ever. Although the heroine has the standard, been-burned-badly-by-the-ex-and-so-is-pushing-back-commitment issues, she's still alot more likable than alot of heroines I see in these contemporary novels. And not that once-bitten-twice-shy isn't a real issue., I'm just sick of reading it in every.other.contemporary.romance novel. Also, it's always rare to find a heroine who isn't bitchily unrealistic in some aspect or another. Taylor kind of veers into that territory but I like that she still has a sense of grounded sensibility, and almost a bit of self-deprecation. And Dev. ~sigh. Good Lord what a fantasy. I like his sense of intelligence and humor. He is pure gorgeous fantasy in a very likable package, not a total ass, and not some ultra emo guy either. Good balance. The best thing is that the author makes the chemistry work between them. It's much better written than most in this genre, and even among Harlequin Blaze, which to blend into one another after a while. This is one of the few that sticks out. The sex scenes are incredibly hot. Highly recommended.

Review # 2 was written on 2010-05-08 00:00:00 Matt Brennan Despite the sleazy title, this is actually a great little book, reminiscent of Nora Roberts style: character insight, family angle, lots of endearing characters. The plot (having a fling on vacation and then deciding what to do back home), very entertaining and realistic. There are also side plots to keep it interesting. This book feels like one in a series (the whole bed thing), there should be at least two more.
