Review # 1 was written on 2020-06-19 00:00:00 Michael Fisher The first in the "bigger and better" books in the Phoenix Force and Able Team line. Going from 192 pages to 224. Although, this one came in at 218. And that's a few pages to many in this case. It seems that the action suffers a bit in the lengthening. The Force finds themselves in what was once East and West Germany and Czechoslovakia. Two anti-communist terrorist factions are planning to nuke Czechoslovakia in order save it from The Reds. They steal some plutonium and are set to carry out their plan. As always the ending was a blow out in action. Just wish there would of been more in between. |
Review # 2 was written on 2021-06-12 00:00:00 Alejandro Vanilla Liked this one quite a bit, has a straightforward story line and plenty of action. The story involves a radical paramilitary group who is wanting to fight communists at all costs not caring about innocent civilians. They don't even care about themselves with their plan of detonating crude nuclear devices inside of Prague. Phoenix Force has to stop this to keep WW3 from starting while being behind the wall of a communist country who are hunting them. Recommended, a good example of the better stories in this series. |
