Review # 1 was written on 2013-05-30 00:00:00 Thanhtrong Nguyen I really enjoy this author's work. Her writing is excellent and the stories she weaves have great depth. This is a story of a woman who is forced to give up her child for one year with the understanding that after the year is up, she will be given custody again. This was definitely a mesmerizing, tear jerker and I found I couldn't put it down. But in spite of that, I only am going to give it three stars. I struggled with both the hero and heroine. They both made bad choices that led to lies, hurt and betrayal. I found the whole story rather depressing and even at the end, I didn't feel the uplift that I expected. |
Review # 2 was written on 2012-06-24 00:00:00 Matthew Connor I've tried to read every title Marilyn Pappano has written, simply because I enjoy her books. But SOME BODY'S BABY remains my favorite. Two vanished amongst reader friends before I bought a third. I do not loan it, as copies are now hard to acquire. Character development is my favorite aspect of a novel and, for some reason, this one is one of my favorites. I have read it several times but cannot pinpoint the first time. It was several years ago. |
