Review # 1 was written on 2018-08-17 00:00:00 Terry Paquette The third in the Northern Lights Brides series involves Scarlett Morgan, the single mother who runs the old Crimson Falls Hotel. Needing funding for repairs, she was convinced by her friend to have a raffle, with the winner owning a share of the hotel. When the winner Colin Slater decided to come and have a look at the property, she was worried that he would take over. Colin is your typical cityslicker whose measure of success is the amount of money he makes and was unimpressed with the magnificence and quietness that is Northern Minnesota. Even though they were attracted to each other, they knew there was no future when they live in such different worlds. Eventually it came down to how they make compromises so that they can be together. I didn't find Colin's character convincing, he is at once a hunk, a klutz and a city shark. It feels like too many characters in one man.
