I really, really enjoyed the beginning of the story, when Seth rescued and nursed Sophie. I didn't like the bits when they were back in Houston all that much, because his personal insecurities (and of course her own tragic past) had this hot/cold vibe happening between them, and I thought they got past that even in the mountains. I found Seth thinking of the two of them as Beauty and the Beast a bit smile-worthy. Tom Rasmussin's appearance (and the fact that Sophie doesn't realise how much he is attracted to her at all) was appropriate for his later portrayal in his own book, and the show was occasionally stolen by Rocky. Even Sophie's housekeeper seemed like a real person. Also: for this being her first published book (if I understand that correctly) it already has signs of her particular strengths, so kudos.

3.5 stars I enjoyed this one, the hero is a recluse ever since he was left with burns after a fire rescue gone bad. The heroine actually runs into him, injured and needs tending. She of course has some sort of amnesia. This one was a typical category but I liked it. When the heroine found out who she was she didn't feel she deserved the hero while he wouldn't let her push him away.
