Review # 1 was written on 2019-09-22 00:00:00 Zane Nobbs Boring. Heroine is a nurse with "bad taste in men." She had a cheater boyfriend and then a gambling addict fiance who took all of her money. She meets the hero through a patient. Patient thinks they belong together, but hero thinks she's a golddigger and heroine doesn't trust him. When patient dies, he leaves the heroine his house in France. Heroine decides to move there and turn it into a guesthouse. Hero is her neighbor who urges her to sell it to him so he can put in a new development. Heroine stubbornly keeps the house and hero ends up falling for her. I perked up when the hero discovered he could gain control of the house if he married the heroine, but he didn't go with the alpha/drama option. Heroine decided to trust him (third time is a charm!) and hero - just like that- gave up the development for an HEA. Nice travelogue of France but both the H/h were bland characters.
