Review # 1 was written on 2017-07-16 00:00:00 Stefan Ingelsen My god what an effort it was to finish this story. He's a bit of an ass being all high handed and attempting to kick the h and her son out of the house she's lived in all her life but jeez she is a wimp. A bit of an unlovable wimp to be honest but suddenly in the space of a few days she becomes all earth mother open and wonderful. Also her son seems to have a miraculous recovery from childhood ailments. Whatever I was glad when it was all over although I sadistically wanted a saccharine sweet epilogue where they are all loved up with 24 kids and assorted dogs, cats and chickens. |
Review # 2 was written on 2016-01-27 00:00:00 Tonya Benton HORRID. I couldn't even get halfway through the story. The "hero" was terribly unbearable. Who tries to throw out a woman and and her little boy? Better yet, who tries to throw out their destitute, scared, abused, single-mother step-sister and her sickly son as a way of making her explore the world/ gain confidence? The entire inner dialogue of the "hero" consisted of belittling others. This guy made me want to punch him. smh My first #DNF from Harlequin. If I could give it zero stars I would. |
