This book is a little different from the usual angsty reads I favour. For a start everyone was just plain nice. The hero was a hotty but nice. The heroine was rebellious but nice. The ex-wife was nice. The pining flatmate was nice in a dweeby way. The irritating flatmate was pitiful and could have been nice if she wasn't eaten up with jealousy of the heroine. The other flatmate was nice. The heroes daughter was nice. Even the policeman and the elderly couple who leant Reece a boat were nice. The romance was nice with just the right amount of tension caused by the May-December dynamic of the age difference. The main conflict was a secret Reece Carlyle kept from Amber. Having fled from a controlling father, it was unlikely she would look favourably on a romantic liaison with a friend of her fathers. I really found this an enjoyable and relaxing read. I quite like May-December romances which is why I selected this book. It is part of a series by Silhouette called 'An Older Man' which I plan on reading all of as I get hold of the books.

2.75 stars. The story was pretty cute and the H was really sweet /adorable. I thought it was cute that H really didn't seem to realize how attractive he was to the opposite sex. He seemed like such an innocent. The whole book felt really "clean" so don't expect any major angst or drama to the max. the title is a little weird though.
