Review # 1 was written on 2012-09-17 00:00:00 Tom Larson I couldn't even finish this one, and after the first quarter I skim-read the rest. And the ten minutes it took me to do that seemed interminable. Two ex-lovers (or almost ex-lovers) being horrid to each other, and yet another "hero" who resents the heroine for wanting sex. (She hasn't actually HAD sex, of course, but just for wanting it.) Somehow in the midst of all this horridness and resentment they fall back in love. Of course. Okay, I'm done with the Presents and Modern lines. Over the last few days I've read one that was quite nice, one that was passable, and five that were dismal. I'm going back to my nice American Superromances and Intrigues and Sensations.
