Review # 1 was written on 2018-01-18 00:00:00 Timothy Cardoso It�s been ten years since Byron and Ellie married as teenagers. They were madly in love but when things went wrong, they didn�t have the maturity to cope. One day, Ellie left, for Reasons. Then further things happened and she decided that it was for the best. Now she is a widow running a business in Birmingham and Byron turns up. He is now a renowned architect but he has never forgotten Ellie. It�s obvious that both Byron and Ellie still have feelings for each other but Ellie is determined that she has nothing to offer Byron. We know the issue fairly early in the piece and occasionally I did wish she would just tell Byron and get it over with. But it was a little more complicated. It got quite emotional at one point and the ending was satisfying. As you know, I prefer them to be faithful while apart but both did have other relationships in the ten year.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-03-09 00:00:00 Rhonda Pfaff This has an interesting premise starting with the heroine busking and trying to survive on the streets of London. She's seventeen and homeless after running away when her mother catches her drunken stepfather trying to rape her, and falsely accuses her of seducing him. This could have been a stronger read, but the heroine actually ends up wearing the reader down. Granted her chip on the shoulder and combativeness is necessary to portray her survival on the streets of London. However, it gets overplayed as she continues to shovel it out while living in a safe environment surrounded by friends who care for her. I typically like this authors' work, but this one missed the mark.
