I assume there was a book before this about Ty and Dixie that I didn't read. So it was a bit confusing but overall it was a good book. Not the best romance or even western honestly. The end really showed the western side of it with the fight but I've read better. If I ever get my hands on Conner's book I'm assuming the third one I would read it just for the hell of it. If anyone knows the name of Conner's book or Ty's please comment this I would like to add to my to read list if I ever find them in a goodwill thanks

Logan Kincaid infiltrated a gang of robbers targeting the Kincaid shipments with the intention to discover the top man directing the gangs constant attacks on his familys assets. His plans went awry when he was shot by one of the gang and left for dead. Secretly transported by two young enterprising boys to the nave widow Jessie Winslows doorstep,Logan survived the bullet wound. Close quarters and the constant awareness of each other produced strong feelings for both of them but Logan was not going to be distracted from his mission and he did not want to endanger Jessie and the boys when the gang came looking for his body. Once an Outlaw held a constant pace through the book with romance and old west action. The characters were believable and true to the old west depiction of rough living. The old saying out of the mouth of babes came to mind several times when I found myself giggling from something one of the youngsters blurted out boldly. The writing pulled on the heartstrings and finished with a satisfying ending. I gave this book a rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars.
