Review # 2 was written on 2019-08-12 00:00:00 Jason Campbell A very solid 4. Clean, and only mild language. The largest part of the book is from the H's POV - a good thing as you quickly come to see. The H's ex has died, and now he has custody of their 10 year old son - a son which he's only had limited interaction with, and that only because the kid's grandfather insisted. Otherwise... his ex didn't tell him she was pregnant when they divorced, and he probably would never have known if her dad hadn't told him. She was vengeful, you see. Their marriage dissolved because she was jealous of all the women he interacted with as part of his job. She told her BBF about all those women she was sure he was screwing around with, and also that he was uninterested in his kid. Her BBF is the h. Obviously she has a lot of unfavorable preconceived notions about him. The book takes place over approximately 2 months where she gets to see just how wrong she was. Nit - the age/timeline. Much of the book, the only thing you know is that the kid is 10 years old, and his parents divorced before he was born. Then there's his 11th birthday party and it's mentioned offhand that the H is 33. Err... So he was what - 22 when they divorced? Short marriage. And he was a top professional fashion photographer? That is, after all, why they divorced - she was insecure and sure he was cheating on her. That seems like an awfully young age to be in such a prominent position. An assistant I could see.
