Review # 1 was written on 2016-01-04 00:00:00 Candice L.i. Zadeh Kind of boring. Heroine is part owner of a ranch. After a car accident, the co-owner hero nurses her back to health.

Review # 2 was written on 2011-07-09 00:00:00 Mark Greenberg Top 5 reasons why this book isn�t worth waiting for: #5. Diluted version of Susan Fox�s other book, Vows of the Heart. #4. Same old, same old stepsibling plot. At 17, stepsister was shamed into leaving the ranch when she declared her love for the hero and he rejected it as purely adolescent puppy love. #3. Inarticulate hero: he�s overdoing the taciturn Marlboro Man part but he likes to ride roughshod over opposition. #2. Passive heroine: It got annoying how many times she contemplated escaping from him and returning to her apartment BUT failed to follow through. Stop dithering already, willya, and get out of Dodge. #1. Cop-out proposal� or when is a proposal not a proposal? When the hero commands her to marry him and presumptuously slips the engagement ring on her finger without consent. If he were proposing on JumboTron and being watched by thousands, I'd get this preemptive gesture. But as it is, it's too manipulative for words. Corollary to #1. Tacit response� or when is an answer not an answer? When the heroine is struck dumb and goes along with wedding plan because she�s already wearing the ring. Grrr. Did I mention how passive she was? Had I not read other Susan Fox's stories like Black Sheep and Wedding in the Family before this one, I'd suspect her of romanticizing spineless females.
