Review # 2 was written on 2011-04-13 00:00:00 Paul Wenzel Basically, what would have happened if Romeo and Juliet had been forced to get married to stop the feud between their family rather than marry for love. The McCormack and Randolph feud in Serenity, Texas was very well known. The families hated each other and often ended up in court over an entire number of small issues. Judge Willis has had enough. It is time to end this feud and he knows just the two to do it. Brice McCormack and Prudence Randolph are in line to be the heads of each of their respective families, and each hate each other because family comes first. It comes as quite a shock to both of them when they are ordered by the well respected judge to wed and claim to be madly in love with each other. Both think it is ridiculous and try to come up with something else to end the family feud to avoid marriage, but in the end nothing else comes to mind and the two enter into a marriage neither wanted but slowly become accustomed to. One sweet wedding kiss and all bets are off. This story had just the right amount of humor, intrigue, romance, and realism that is needed in a good romance novel. Brice and Prudence are both characters that the reader can relate to and both are strong willed without being annoying. I picked up this book because the title intrigued me and once I read the summary I knew that I had to read it and see what was going on. Once I started it, I couldn't put it down. I laughed out loud and really enjoyed the whole thing. What a fun little story.
