appena appena 3 stelline... non mi ha colpito molto e ricorda il vecchio film del natale, passato, presente, futuro che fa redimere il protagonista.

As a lover of the Christmas season, the Christmas Carol story by Dickens as well as a fan of romantic stories, I'm always interested to see what other authors do with their own romancy versions of the classic tale. To date, while most have been a good read, I find the cookie-cutter approach...well, a bit stale. With all due respect, after awhile there is no real entertainment in knowing almost what is going to happen. You have a Scrooge-type character. Three mysterious ghosts/beings let him see the past, present and future. It always seems to follow the original Christmas Carol very distinctly, with the Scrooge-type character being dead if he doesn't change his ways. Different these stories may be, but there is no mystery in already knowing what the Scrooge-type character will see with the third ghost/being. Marley and Her Scrooge still followed the same pattern as A Christmas Carol, but was different. Everything is happening in the present. There is no Scrooge waking up to find that the day/night is still open for him to change his ways. In this one, it is really happening, and there is no going back. I won't say any more on the book. I can only say if you like romance novels, like Christmas and enjoy A Christmas Carol, give it a try. I gave this book a five-star rating, and if there are those that follow my ratings, I don't give those out lightly! :) So to me this was a great read. Perfect around Christmas as well as entertaining. Giving you a glimpse of a classic but with a few new twists.
