3.5 stars Another great JG book! Heroine thinks of herself as a failure & when she is left at the altar she leaves town intending to stay away from men and instead lands up in a town where the hero is based, taking care of the wolves. I loved how he handled her so deftly, slowly working his way around her fears & into her heart. As is the case with this author the heroes are first to embrace love while it takes a while for heroines to overcome their fears.

I added this to my list because for some reason I thought it was another harlequin type book that I wanted to reread. No idea why because the cover and plot are utterly different from this other book but nonetheless. This book was relatively cute for what it was. Actually pretty low on the cheese factor for these types of books. Cute little romance..definitely very outdated in terms of the man-woman dynamic but the hero wasn't overly chauvanistic or anything jut outdated ways of thinking. I liked the couple but I wished the heroine had been a little less hard on herself for what seemed to me like no reason. Everyone makes mistakes growing up and who hasn't made poor relationship decisions once or twice? And her epiphany moment was so abrupt with almost no real catalyst. She went eureka and changed rather than doing some introspecting about how much she had grown and changed and realizing her feelings slowly. The sex scenes were pretty steamy once we finally got there. The plot was solid too. Bottom line: surprisingly good for these type of books. low cheese level, good plot, likable characters, and a cute romance. Super outdated but its older so thats not the books fault
