Review # 1 was written on 2015-06-11 00:00:00 Clinton Bogle This book is basically a classic plot of Harlequin series. But I enjoyed it mostly because it's comfortable to me and overall the story's quite simple. Look forward to read another book by this author! |
Review # 2 was written on 2013-05-15 00:00:00 Terry Traynor synopsis: the day that kathryn is to get married, she finds out that her intended is nothing more than a fortune hunter. rather than go through with the wedding, she escapes her room and runs into jonah, the son of the estate gardner. jonah decides to help kathryn get away, remembering her fondly from when she was a lonely child. as they try to escape her father travelling across country in beat up vehicles, kathryn finds out what it's like to be ordinary, and jonah finds out what it's like to be with the girl of his dreams. when they finally come to rest in a small town, they fit in with the townspeople, and with each other's lives. when they decide to get married, kathryn discovers that jonah has been hiding something from her. what i liked: the fact that jonah decided on the spur of the moment to help kathryn, but then went full tilt into it. it was interesting to see kathryn live a life of relative freedom, and that it was so different for her with no one knowing who she was or expecting her to do what she was told. seeing kathryn find out who she is was very fulfilling. what i didn't like: the length. i was interested enough that i would have liked to have seen more of jonah and kathryn, as well as the townspeople. |
