Review # 1 was written on 2011-10-02 00:00:00 Even Chris Part 3 of a trilogy. Husband on Demand, Bride on Loan and Wife on Approval. This book had all the ingredients of an angsty read. Divorce couple meeting again, the ex-husband with a daughter in tow, an overbearing ill mother-in-law, unresolved issues of who didn�t stick it out more in the first marriage. But it wasn�t angsty. I like the honest way that the author Leigh Michaels showed the heroine�s conflicted emotion over the ex�s supposed child. At first, she was cool to the child because she naturally thought he had rebounded after their divorce quickly. But she settled into an easy relationship when she was unexpectedly thrown in the child�s company. However, I thought the guy was insensitive (at best) and cruel (at worst) to push his child�s presence onto his ex like she was some convenient surrogate mother. It was like he was rubbing it in that he moved on with new obligations with nary a glance back to his former life and love. I�m glad she turned him down the when he proposed again and I wish she made him work more towards the end. Because, I�m sorry -- confessing his regret for exchanging her presence by his side in marriage for his own career advancement is not enough; he has to actually show it to be believable.

Review # 2 was written on 2012-02-22 00:00:00 Julieann Lewis I liked it. it still made sense even though it is the last in a trilogy. I will be looking for the rest of the series.
