Review # 1 was written on 2019-03-30 00:00:00 Gregory Martiensen Gisella is a devoted journalist who is so determined to write her own first novel. Unfortunately, in order to do so, she needed to finish one last assignment and that was getting inside the Candle Tower room in Kilnacroish Castle and sleeping there for one night in order to grasp the feel of the superstitions revolved around it. To her dismay, the lord of the castle, Strachan McLeod, won't ever allow it because of his intense hatred to journalists and what they stand for! I enjoyed reading this novel not because of the excellent narration only, but because of the heroes. They are very strong-welled and hilariously funny! Very entertaining read. Recommended! |
Review # 2 was written on 2012-09-21 00:00:00 Frances Drzewicki Jessica Hart -- the Bo Diddley of Romance! Just the way Bo Diddley used the same beat in all his songs -- bump diddy bump bump, bump bump -- so Jessica Hart uses the same story in all her books. Cute, silly, scatterbrained heroine swoons over a dark hero hidden away in some exotic location. She stumbles all over herself trying to get him to notice her. He's grouchy at first, but he really can't resist. Eventually her goofy charm brings him to his knees. A five year old could write this stuff. But it's so much fun to read! Bump diddy bump bump, bump bump! |
