[Note on the title of the book, "A Dear Perfection": Heroine's uncle was actually her natural father. She never carried his last name because she was born out of wedlock. She only had the last name of her stepfather who later adopted her. The hero, on the other hand, was adopted by heroine's natural father when he was 12 years old, during heroine's father's short-lived marriage to hero's mother. So hero actually has the legal last name that ought to have belonged to heroine as her right of birth. Since hero and heroine are getting married, she will finally be able to have the "correct" last name. She jokingly refers to this turn of events as a "dear perfection", referring to Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, in the scene where Juliet reasons that Romeo would still be perfect even if his name is Montague. Two years in the heart of Wales--with this man! When Sophie first learned she'd inherited Country Connection--her uncle's perfume factory--the young model thanked her lucky stars she'd finished business college as a backup. Because sharing that responsibility with know-it-all Ben Ross, the managing director and cobeneficiary, meant proving to him that he was in partnership with more than a frivolous clotheshorse. But to think she had innocently thought Ben would merely be frustrated by her intrusion. She hadn't considered the consequences of him being too interested!
