Review # 2 was written on 2010-06-07 00:00:00 Jeff Edelstein This was gifted to me on valentine's day by my husband. I adore this book. It has a series of erotic short stories and each tale is prefaced by a story by Maurice Girodias who talks about what they had to go through to publish each story. Most of these stories were written in the 1950's and so the editor had to deal with having his work confiscated for pornography, by the French police. Dark tales like The Story of O, and Spartacus come to mind.
