Wherein we learned how to make polenta like grandma, starting with cold water. Lovely quote: Although the chemists and the physiologists haven't succeeded in proving the poets right about truffles and romance, they haven't been able to prove them wrong, either. And of this much, I'm certain: there is something about a meal prepared with care and devotion, something about having a hand in the dish that will nourish both you and the person you love There are indeed many ways to fuel the passions.
