Review # 1 was written on 2018-08-16 00:00:00 Thomas Balcerski The prose is decent, but the history is painful. As should be obvious by the title and length, this is a work that's simply too large in scope to be very good. Ideas are presented without development, and summarized without expansion. Useful as a reference or as a quick primer before reading in depth on any of the topics presented, I'd struggle to find value in that as even a 100-level textbook. Plus, the attempt at a conclusion was....pretty awkward

Review # 2 was written on 2018-08-24 00:00:00 Rod Mondaca This is a pretty good primer on European history and I quite enjoyed it although it took me a while to read it. Must note that I was reading it for personal interest rather than academic need.
