This book was about a girl name Shayla who is almoost completely excluded from her father's life. She feels that he doesn't care about her and finds any excuses not to be apart of her life. Her father, Anderson Fox, re-marries and he and wife, Jada has a daughter. Their daughter was born on the same day of Shayla's thirteen year birthday. Shayla finds herself envious that she not only has a baby sister who's taken her place in her father's life, but has also taken "her day". Her father's reaction to the birth of her sister, Gift, is something she never will and never have gotten from him. This is a great book, for some, but it just doesn't interests me for the simple fact that I don't have any younger siblings, and I feel as though I can't relate to the main character.

Just as amazing as "When Kambia Elaine Flew In From Neptune." And i'm not just saying that because we have the same first name lol. This book is an eye popper. Please read it, it will benefit you more than you can imagine.
