Review # 1 was written on 2013-05-28 00:00:00 Charlene Madanat I'd be hard put to recommend this unless you'd read all the novels (as of 1989) of the two authors in question - fortunately I have! This is quite readable as academic press titles go (Southern Illinois University in this case) and presents a lot of fairly straightforward literary analysis, complicated only by the usual dose of "theory"; in this instance via M. M. Bakhtin who originated the "dialogic" notion. Note to Damien Y. - the author uses the word "whilom" at least three times with an entirely straight face! |
Review # 2 was written on 2013-01-25 00:00:00 Daniel Schley Mayday, Mayday !! The GR blurb for this book is for an entirely DIFFERENT book. 6-3-2012. |
