Review # 1 was written on 2015-07-03 00:00:00 Grant Mcfarlane Terrific introduction to the valuation of options on real assets. The book provides thorough instruction on conceptualizing problems, and constructing solutions. - Each chapter centers on a different example of a corporate investment decision, demonstrating how to value the option aspect of the investment decision. - Derivations are minimized if included at all. There is no calculus involved. - Black-Scholes assumptions are assumed to be valid, and the binomial model is used almost exclusively. This books is highly valuable for at least two kinds of people: 1 - People who aim to manage non-financial assets or make corporate investment decisions. 2 - People who aim to manage financial assets, and want a practical introduction to real options pricing. |
