Review # 1 was written on 2012-08-10 00:00:00 Robert Martin A great anthology of major works. I particularly enjoyed the verses of Swinburne and EBB. Lots of poets I hadn't been exposed to before, and some interesting genre comments on poetry as a whole. Also has important cultural, nonfiction works and plays. |
Review # 2 was written on 2016-03-21 00:00:00 Potvin Patrick I should have no complaints - this is an excellent anthology of leading Victorians or those who should be considered as much. Runs the gambit from poetry to essays to extracts. Even so, something about the layout naggled me a little, as the layout of so many college text books do - came off as denser than it needed to be. |
