Review # 1 was written on 2020-08-22 00:00:00 Kanjanapol Kathong I really enjoyed this, especially the chapters on early literary culture in Jamaica and Trinidad. I also really liked the chapters on "Miss Lou" and the dynamics of the publishing industry. I wasn't really feeling the chapter on Carnival and I was bothered by the continued use of Caribbean as shorthand for English-speaking Caribbean.
