Review # 1 was written on 2014-06-14 00:00:00 Kayla Luckie Great book. His conclusions are supported by his first hand sources. Bonekemper has proven to me that Grant was a much better general than Lee, and many of the Confederate military problems were due to Lee's strategic failures.

Review # 2 was written on 2009-08-03 00:00:00 David Black Contrarian history that deserves to be written. I don't agree with all his statements, but he makes some good points. It would benefit from more modern battle history research.
