Review # 1 was written on 2009-04-03 00:00:00 Gregory Cohen A must when going through Joshua, Judges and Ruth in your own readings. The man does his homework, and although not quite as thorough as one or two other books of his, it helps clarify the background of these texts.He goes through the cultural, historical and archeological mediums in a most complete treatise of the books. He's given most information on the book of Ruth that I've ever seen. Most interesting.

Review # 2 was written on 2014-08-03 00:00:00 David Fistein I read the Joshua section (78 pages) along with the Bible text during my daily devotions in 2014 and the Judges-Ruth section (76 pages) in November of 2016. While not as long as his commentaries on Genesis and Exodus, Davis is still a solid, conservative Bible teacher, and the reader will find much helpful information.
