Not really so much a "sit down and read" book as a handy compendium of info on Ayn Rand's life and writings, and writings about her. One would think it would be hard to screw up a book like that. The author does a decent job of it for the most part except when she gets to Rand's non-fiction writing, where it is clear that she knows hardly anything about philosophy, economics, politics, or psychology. Still, it's a handy book and I wish I had it in my library as a reference. I suppose I will make do with the library copy until such time as they see fit to withdraw it.
