Before you get engaged you have this pinterest board and all these ideas of what a great wedding you're going to have. You're going to look so good in that size four designer gown. You're going to have flowers on everything. You're guests are going to be in awe of what an amazing wedding you threw. Then your boyfriend gets down on one knee and gives you a ring and you're taken from the magical world of pinterest into the real world of wedding planning where you're so stressed you're eating cheese pizza because you can't figure out what flowers are in season or what flowers your mother is allergic to and your dream of fitting into a size four dress goes out the window as you just hope you fit into ANY dress. That's when you get this book and you open the first page and you read the magical words of David. He turns you from that stressed out bride who has chewed her nails down so badly she shows off her engagement ring in a fist to the bride you dreamed about who has all her contracts signed and in an organized binder. Who knows what type of invitations to send and that it actually matters if they match your thank you cards. You turn from a bride dreading everything to someone who actually understands and can look forward to her wedding day again. Thanks for saving my big day (and warning be about the Christmas lights)

As a fan of David Tutera's famous show "My Fair Wedding," I had to give this book a try. I mean...a sneak peek into the methods of a wedding planning genius? Yes, please! I was not disappointed. Each section was well-thought-out, easy to navigate, and had excellent insights. He used a variety of fun (anonymous) anecdotes from his past experiences, to draw home the right points or to illustrate his reasonings behind certain choices. There were several things that I would never have thought about that suddenly made sense to me. It was chock full of great ideas, so many of which I myself would be eager to implement, given the chance. Now, as a wedding photographer, and therefore someone involved in weddings as a business, I found many of Tutera's insights possibly even more profound than I may have as a bride. This book gave me ideas from a business side that I find very valuable, and any wedding professional reading this book would be wise to listen to what he has to say on not just their own particular field of expertise, but the others as well. So many things connect in a wedding, it's hard to separate out which ones we should worry about and which ones we shouldn't. Anything in this book can only help, and improve a bride's overall wedding experience. Well worth the time! One of the best resources I've found in a while.
