This story could've been wonderful if it had a more interesting beginning and a more complete roundaboutness to the conclusion. Everything took too long and too much unimportance to come into fruition. Then in the middle when things start to become more intriguing, the intensity wanes away then there's nothing to finish it off in awe. I really don't like to read stories in British dialect, and there dialect was old style, so it was hard to grasp alot of the conversation between characters. But I downloaded this book months ago,and I intended to endure to the last page!

Tom Ransome is beside himself when his partner is murdered, the police discover two sets of books. Now, Tom is penniless, unemployed and his family homeless. A chance meeting with his old pal Jeremy quickly results in a place for the family to live. One thing leads to another and the downward spiral continues. The pace is okay and that ending seems to be poetic justice. I received this book through a Publisher's promotional giveaway. Although encouraged as a courtesy to provide feedback, I was under no obligation to write a review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
