Review # 1 was written on 2016-12-29 00:00:00 Jeffrey Mckee I loved this book. It's a concise outline of the vision that this man has for the future of his country, and the problems that need to be solved to see that future to its logical conclusion. Of course with all men/women who have held positions of power in the India government some of what he says should probably be taken with a grain of salt. But what he argues is very interesting. It is a great book to read if you want to get a sense of where India stands today in the context of the globalized world, and how it will eventually get to where it needs to be. Be forewarned: He is pretty pessimistic and jaded, but I guess years of feeling like a David, contending with the Goliath Indian state politics/govt will do that to you. I do think though, at the end of his dry reserved arguments he is very hopeful that India will realize its potential
