Review # 1 was written on 2019-04-06 00:00:00 Edward Dyer Dated. He has some good ideas, but I disagree with a lot personally. For instance, for worship leaders, the less talking, the better. People don't respond well to worship leaders who constantly address them - they just want to sing. If they don't want to sing, they may even come after the music. My advice is simple: don't start worship off with talking, but with music and resist the desire to have to say something in between songs. Also, you can signal the congregation as to what's next with how you sing, rather than having to tell them "ok, we're going to sing this part now". Just awkward stuff like that. Still, this book is an almost essential for new worship teams/leaders who want to begin their journey of being better and more organized. Highly recommended to worship teams that don't know what they're doing or are going through major changes. I wouldn't say that you need to do everything the way he says, but it definitely will get you going the right way.
